Lauren Wutka
I recently graduated from Endicott College with a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design, with a minor in Business Administration. I have had many great opportunities that have led me to the point I am at today.
One experience that impacted my career path occurred prior to my junior year of high school. During that summer, I attended a design camp at Mount Ida College, where I learned about interior architecture and design, and completed my first design project. Attending that camp confirmed for me that I wanted to pursue a career in this field.
Over the course of my college career so far, I have completed many projects focusing on residential, retail, corporate, hospitality, and healthcare design. I've had the opportunity to compete in a cash wrap fixture design challenge for The Body Shop from October to December of 2017. Throughout this challenge, I was in constant contact with The Body Shop and experienced a real-world design scenario.
During the summer of 2017, I interned at DesignSourceCT located in Hartford, CT. During this internship, I rotated through the departments and assisted in day to day activities. I worked directly with the clients and contributed to the design process.
The following summer, I interned at Tecton Architects, also in Hartford. I worked on a variety of projects in a team environment, which allowed me to work with the architects, project managers, and other designers.
During the fall semester of 2018, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Over the course of the semester, I was able to experience European architecture, design, and cultures, all of which have had an influence on me.
During the fall semester of 2019, I interned at The Architectural Team in Chelsea, MA. While there, I worked on multiple senior living projects, as well as multifamily living facilities. I created floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and elevations, which enhanced my Revit and AutoCAD skills.
I hope you enjoy my portfolio and feel free to contact me about any design opportunities or questions!
